This event type is only available on Venue accounts.
An Open Day event is different to an LTA Big Tennis Weekend event, if you would like to create an LTA BTW event please read this support guide here.
If you wish to create an Open Day event outside of the LTA Big Tennis Weekend event, then you can do so by following the steps within this guide.
Your Open Day event will be published on your website and also here: https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/Events/
Step 1:
You'll first need to head to the Admin Area and go to the Events Module (highlighted in the image below)
First, go to the 'Admin Area' and go into the 'Events' module on the left-hand side.
Step 2:
Once within the Events Module, you'll need to click on the blue 'Create Event' button located on the right-hand side of the screen.
Where the following overlay will appear:
You'll need to click on the 'Open Days' option
Step 3:
Once you have selected 'Open Days' you'll be taken to the next page where you'll need to set up/create your event.
Date - Here you'll be able to select your own date that the event will be happening on
Start & End - Here you'll enter the start and end time of the event
Event Title - This is what the event will be called
Description - Here you'll be able to enter a short description of what attendees can expect from the event.
Contact Email - Here you'll need to enter a contact email address that will be displayed online with your event and will be publicly available to those viewing your event page.
Contact Phone Number - Here you'll need to enter a contact phone number that will be displayed online with your event and will be publicly available to those viewing your event page.
Cover Photo - You can upload your own image to display for the event.
For best viewing of this photo, we recommend uploading a photo with dimensions of 1800px by 440px
Registration - This box will allow people to register for your event without booking a specific session. This can be useful for people who aren’t sure what they want to take part in, or if you aren't running specific sessions but still want to know who and how many people might be coming to the event.
Once you have completed this, you'll need to click on the blue 'Save Event' button at the bottom of the page.
Step 5:
Now that you have set up the event, you'll now be able to create your activities and sessions.
You'll first need to create an activity, by clicking on the blue '+ Add Activity' button (highlighted in the image below)
Once you have clicked on the 'Add Activity' button, the following will appear:
Type - Here you can select what type of activity this will be; Cardio Tennis, Family Time, Free Play, LTA Youth Start, Other, Tennis Xpress, Adult Coaching, Junior, Disability and Any
Title - Depending on what TYPE of activity you pick, this field may be pre-filled but you can edit/change the text to enter your own.
Description - Depending on what TYPE of activity you pick, this field may be pre-filled but you can edit/change the text to enter your own.
Activity Photo - A default image will appear here, and depending on the TYPE of activity that you choose this default image may change. However, you can upload your own image. If you choose to upload your own image then for best viewing of this photo we recommend uploading a photo with dimensions of 544px by 358px
Once you have created your activity, please remember to click the blue 'Save Activity' button (shown in the above image).
Step 6:
Now that you have created and saved your activity, you'll now be able to add in the sessions which participants can book onto within this activity.
To add a session to an activity, you'll need to click on the blue 'Edit Session' button (highlight in the above image) where you'll be able to create and enter all the sessions available.
You'll then see the following:
Here, you will need to click on the 'Add Sessions' button. Where you will be able to enter the start time and duration of each session available within the activity as well as the capacity (number of people who can sign up to that session).
Once you have entered all the sessions that will be available, you'll need to click the blue 'Save Sessions' button.
You'll then see all the sessions listed under your activity:
Step 7:
Once you have created all your activities and sessions, your Open Day event, you can now publish your event for participants to book onto.
Your event will also be published to https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/Events/
