If you need to cancel a monthly subscription, Admins can cancel this from within the platform. This can also be completed by the member contacting their bank to cancel the subscription. If this happens, the Admins will be notified by email.
Please note: For Fixed Date memberships, it's really important to reduce the number of instalments each month. If this is not done and someone has purchased a 12 month membership half way through the membership year opting in to pay by instalments, even if the membership date has expired, the instalments will continue until the full amount is collected.
Step 1: In the Admin side of the Membership module: open the package and click into the members record.
Step 2: In the costs section, click on the button 'Cancel'.
Step 3: The following overlay will appear to confirm the cancellation. This will cancel the Direct Debit with GoCardless or Stripe.
Your member will receive an email notification to confirm this has been cancelled.
Step 4: You will then need to make sure you change the membership status to 'Cancelled'.
