Customer chooses to pay via bank debit

Customer completes an authorization form

Merchant sends advance notice to the customer of the upcoming bank debit payment

Q: My member says they are being asked to verify the bank transfer via their bank - what if they don't have an online bank account?
A: As the GoCardless account holder, you have two options here. You can collect the money via a paper form and set up the bank details or you can ask GoCardless to turn off the online bank verification on your GoCardless account.
To do the above, you need to contact GoCardless via email to request that they 'disable the online verification' on the GoCardless account. The request will need to come from the account owner.
Q: Why are the members asked to enter their bank details?
A: GoCardless processes payments via direct debit- which 'pushes the money' rather than pulls the money. It is set up primarily for recurring payments, although you can still use this for Payment in Full.
Q: Why do some people get the option of instant payment and some don't?
