To import your adult members, you will first have to create an adult membership package. You should create a package for all memberships available at your venue. E.g. Adult 2017, Student 2017, Senior 2017.
Once you have done this, the next step will be to populate your adult import spreadsheet with members relevant to the package you are importing to.
For example, if you created a Student 2017 package, your spreadsheet should be populated with only your Student 2017 members.
You can view the adult import spreadsheet by clicking on the link at the end of this article. It can be saved and used for data entry for Adult pacakges, just by typing over the 'dummy' data. It is important that the format of the template spreadsheet is not altered in any way (columns re-arranged, titles re-named etc).
Please note, that only the first name and last name fields are compulsory for adult members. Feel free to populate the fields as much or little as you please, you will be able to edit members information once they have been imported. Don't remove any columns, if you don't have the data, just leave them blank.
To begin your import, head to the membership module on the admin site and click on the membership package where your data will be uploaded:
Now click on the 'Import members' button:
On the right hand side of the page you will see the option to import from an external file (see image below), select the 'Browse' button and select your file:
Note: if you need help you can download the adult members import template here.
After selecting your file, click the 'Import' button, here you should see a message "import successful". If the spreadsheet contains unexpected data or formatting, you will receive an error message detailing the row where the error occurred and the type of data required.
Once your members' data have been imported, click on the 'View members' button in the top right corner - to see the members' details in a list (see below).
