What are the Costs of Clubspark?

If you are an LTA registered venues and/or an LTA Accredited coach, Clubspark is FREE* to use,. 

* If you wish to make use of collecting money from members online via the secure, online payment providers - Stripe or GoCardless,  there will be a small transaction fee- details are below. 

You will have access to the core features such as Court Booking, Coaching and Membership as well as being able to create your own website. You can create your FREE ClubSpark account here and scroll to the bottom of the page.

To ensure that Clubspark and the venues/coaches are compliant with both GDPR and financial regulations, we use certified payment providers, who charge per transaction. The aim is to keep these charges as low as possible and review them regularly to bring you savings. We want to be as transparent as possible and have provided a break down of the charges below.

We work with 2 payment providers: 

• GoCardless, which is used within the Membership module to take 1-off and instalment payments. 
• Stripe, which is used within the Membership, Coaching, Booking and Events Modules. For Membership module as of 2024, you can choose to have one off or pay by installments. 

The fees will be deducted from the player's/ member's payment at source. 

GoCardless

Transaction Fee Breakdown:

GoCardless: 1.0% + 20p + VAT  (capped at £4.00) per transaction if on the standard package* (other packages will be a higher percentage if chosen).

Clubspark:  0.8% (not capped) per transaction

This fee will be deducted from the member's payment. There are charges for refunds from GoCardless, however, Clubspark does not take a fee for refunds. 

If you are a registered charity - you may be entitled to a 25% discount on the GoCardless fees. When creating you account please read the GoCardless Help Guide: GoCardless Account Set Up - if you already have a GoCardless account and want to take up this offer you will need to ensure your business type is correct. You can edit this from your GoCardless dashboard.

* Note: GoCardless in July 2023 - GoCardless have introduced a tiered pricing package. You can read more about the different options here..  the above costings are based on the Standard Package.

Stripe

Transaction Fee Breakdown:

For One Off (Pay in Full) payments: 

Stripe: 1.5% + 20p

Clubspark: 1.4% + 5p

Total = 2.9% + 25p

For Subscription Payments - where the member pays in installments, there will be an additional charge from Stripe on the recurring payment of 0.5%. This charge will be collected at the point of payout to the bank account, rather than on the individual payments. Further details are available here: https://stripe.com/gb/billing/pricing

Please note: Stripe also reported that there will be increase in fees if the purchaser are NOT UK standard cards. You will not be able to block players or members from using these cards, but you should be aware of these charges for accounting. 

Premium UK  cards (commercial visa/Mastercard) will charge: 1.9% + 20p + Clubspark fee
International Cards: 3.25% + 20p + Clubspark fee
European cards: 2.5% + 20p + Clubspark fee
