You can create a Coaching Team for your organisation, give coaches roles e.g. Head Coach, Coach or Assistant Coach and assign coaches to various courses. This also includes the ability to see if a coach has an LTA Accreditation.
This article will also go through how to remove the Coaching Role from the Coaches profile.
Step 1:
To create a Coaching Team - go to your Coaching Module and select 'Coaching team' in the top left side bar.
On the next screen you will see the list of your Coaching Team. Here you will be able to add new coaches.
Step 2:
To add a new coach, click on the 'Add coach' button in the right hand corner of the screen. You will then need enter the details of the coach. If they are already within your contacts select 'Existing contact' where you will be able to search for their record.
Step 3:
You will then need to select which coaching role you would like them to have and press 'Confirm'.
You will now see the Coach appear within your Coaching Team and an invite to register will be automatically sent to them.
Adding Coach to Coaching Team on the Course:
You can also add a coach to your Coaching Team, when creating a course. Within the 'Class Defaults' Section of the course you are creating, select the '+ Add' button next to Coaching Team where you will be able to add the coach without leaving the create a course page.
Removing a Coach from the Coaching Team:
Step 1:
If you wish to remove a coach from your coaching team. Select the coach, and click 'Profile options' and 'Edit Contact'.
Step 2:
You will then need to scroll to the bottom of their contact record to 'Organisation roles' and untick their coaching role and press Save.
Please Note: This is also the same place where you can add the coach's LTA Coach Code.
Tip: If the LTA Coach Code isn't recognised - please make sure the format entered is: CO0…. - i.e. C and O (alpha) followed by zero '0' (numeric) and then the rest of the numbers.
To verify any LTA Coach Codes not accepted, please get in touch with the LTA via their web contact form.
