This guide will help you create recurring sessions course and understand the options available to make it more suited to your venues requirements. We have also included a preview of what a player will see when booking onto this course.
When creating a coaching course, you have the option of creating 'Recurring sessions'. These allow the ability to offer individual sessions that recur each week until a set date or indefinitely.
Remember: You can add promo discount codes to any of your courses, for more information on this please see : Discount Codes
In the coaching module choose the applicable coaching programme you wish to add the course to then select the 'Create a new course' button.
Select the 'Recurring sessions' option.
Complete the fields for creating a coaching course and add in the number of sessions you want.
Please Note: If you want these to roll-on without an end date - leave this blank.
You can see that 'Recurring Sessions' has been enabled, with the sessions set to weekly.
Ensure you also set how many weeks you would like to allow advance bookings.
An end date for reoccurring sessions can be added too, you'll have the option to assign a finish date (see below).
Here you can enter the cost of the recurring coaching course.
If you want the course to be 'members only' you'd use the 'who can book?' field and select 'members', this prevents non-members book.
Under the 'who can book' section, you can now choose 'selected members only', this will allow you to restrict the course bookings to specific membership packages.
Select the 'edit' button and tick the box for the applicable memberships that can book. You can choose as many as you want and use the 'select all' if all packages need to be used.
Choose 'select memberships' when selection is complete.
NOTE: Recurring sessions will mean that members of the packages chosen will be able to book all sessions for that course, it cannot be restricted per session.
Step 4 (optional): If you want to offer a member discount you can select between the 'user selection' or 'based on membership status' options. If you select 'user selection' then the member has to select whether they are a member or non-member when booking onto the course.
If you select 'based on membership status' option then the membership will be validated when a member is booking a course. Please Note: This feature is only available on venue accounts. This will be coming to Coaching Organisations in 2022.
Step 5: You can then upload a cover photo and add in the Session Defaults such as coach, time, duration, capacity and cost.
There is also section for the feature 'Open courts', this allows players/members with disabilities to filter for courses and venues with specific facilities that meet their requirements (i.e. Wheelchair access, accessible toilets etc).
Step 6: this section is optional, you can choose to link the course up with the booking sheet. If the court(s) is available on the date and time selected you will be able to select these, the course will then appear on the booking sheet for people to book on. More information on this feature can be found here.
Once you have completed all relevant fields in creating coaching sessions, click the blue 'Save course' button and you're ready to go.
Depending on the status of the course set, i.e. direct link or public. If it is direct link, the link will show at the bottom of each session for you to copy and email/share with the players you wish to book.
How will players book onto the course?
Depending on the status of the course set, i.e. direct link or public. If direct link, you can copy the URL and send this to the players you wish to book. Players will be able to book onto multiple sessions in 1 area/booking (up to how many weeks in advance you allow them to book) allowing them to select what sessions they wish to attend.
